Sweet potatoes do not cause a spike in blood sugar.  Despite their name, sweet potatoes have a low glycemic index.  This means they release sugar slowly into the bloodstream.  This makes them an ideal food to eat for a balanced and regular source of energy.

Last but not least, they are fat free!  Sweet potatoes do not contain any fat, but have a high amount of fiber to keep you feeling full!
