Clear the Clutter for Your Health
January is recognized as Get Organized Month, making it an ideal opportunity to reset your environment and your mindset.
Maintaining your mental health is an essential component of overall good health. One of the best ways to take care of your mental health is to practice self-care. Self-care means taking care of yourself so that you can be healthy, be well, do your job, help and care for others all while being able to do all the things you need and want to accomplish in a day.
The World Health Organization defines self-care as: “the ability of individuals, families, and communities to promote health, prevent disease, maintain health, and to cope with illness and disability with or without the support of a healthcare provider.”
Self-care includes taking time to do things that bring you happiness, improve your mood and help you manage your daily stressors. While self-care looks different for everyone, we have a few tips to consider as you begin your journey to a happier you.
