Makes 4 servings

Ingredients:

  •  1 green cabbage head (washed and cut into bite-sized pieces)

  • 1 medium onion (chopped)

  • 1 lb. 90% lean ground beef

  • 2 sprays of nonstick cooking spray

  • 1 tsp. garlic powder

  • ¼ tsp. black pepper

  • Salt (to taste, optional)

  • Red pepper flakes (to taste, optional)

Directions:

  1. Chop the cabbage and onion; set them aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef on medium heat until browned. Drain the fat. Set the beef aside.
  3. Spray the skillet with nonstick cooking spray. Cook the chopped onion on medium heat until soft.
  4. Add the cabbage to the chopped onion and cook until the cabbage starts to brown.
  5. Stir the beef into the cabbage and onion mixture.
  6. Season with garlic powder, black pepper and salt (optional).
  7. Add red pepper flakes (optional) to the cabbage if you like it spicy!
