The influenza (flu) season in the United States lasts from October through May, with peak flu activity between December and March. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates 47 million to 82 million flu illnesses occurred during the 2024-25 season. Data suggested flu activity was at its highest level in more than 15 years.
