Fresh Finds Letterhead-01

When life gives you lemon’s, there’s no limit to the things you can do! Lemons are one of the most versatile fruits. They’re great for boosting your immune system, promoting healthy skin, aiding healthy digestion, soothing a sore throat, fighting stress, controlling high blood pressure, and so much more.

Here are 3 ways to utilize this powerful fruit:

  1. Use fresh lemon juice to flavor your salad, fish, poultry, or steamed veggies. Lemons are a great way to add natural flavor while cooking. Adding lemon slices to your water can make staying hydrated fun and flavorful!
  1. Lemons can be a super power not only for flavor, but also as a natural cleaning product. Replace harsh chemical-filled cleaners with lemon juice. While cleaning mirrors, windows, and countertops, mix lemon juice and water in a spray bottle. Brighten your whites without bleach by adding a cup of lemon juice to your laundry.
  1. Looking for a natural way to brighten your skin? Combine lemon and honey for an easy face mask. The vitamin C from the lemon will brighten your skin while the honey adds moisture. Remove the mask after 20 minutes for a lovely glow!

When picking your next fresh lemon, make sure it’s firm with a textured peel and deep yellow color. The heavier the lemon and thinner the skin, the more juice it has.
