5 Workouts You're Missing Out On

One way to burst out of a fitness rut is to try something new. Or maybe you haven’t found that one type of exercise that you really, really love. Either way, step out of your comfort zone and give one or all of these activities a try!

 

Zumba: Zumba is known for burning major calories! Plus it’s fun, you don’t have to be a good dancer, and it’s a great way to meet new people. Find a local beginners class, or try a few Zumba workouts on YouTube to get comfortable before trying a class. Picking up the moves might be tricky at first, but soon you’ll be having a blast and working out at the same time!

 

Stand-up Paddle Boarding: This activity is growing in popularity and for good reason! It’s a great way to soak up some sun, get a killer workout (especially for your core) and you’re sure to have fun doing it. There’s classes popping up everywhere, so search for a class near you and grab a few friends to take along.

 

Kickboxing: You might think kickboxing is too intense or you have to pack a strong punch to be good at it. However, all types of people practice kickboxing! It’s a huge stress reliever, an amazing workout, and many people say it’s their therapy. You’ll gain muscle, burn fat, and feel like a super hero.

 

Aerial Yoga: Mix it up and try this new form of yoga. During Aerial Yoga, you perform traditional yoga poses while suspended in the air by a fabric hammock. Don’t worry, the hammocks are made of special high-density nylon that can support over 2,000 pounds. This is a fun and challenging workout, plus you’ll find yourself using muscles you didn’t know existed!

 

CrossFit/ boot camp: If you want to feel stronger than ever, try a CrossFit or boot camp class! You’ll find yourself leaping over boxes, cranking out push-ups, and lifting more weight than you ever thought possible. These classes are always happy to welcome beginners and help them gradually reach some seriously impressive goals, so try it and you might find yourself with a six-pack!

 

You can find all types of new and exciting exercise classes at your local gym, fitness studio or even on YouTube! Do a little exploring and discover an activity that gives you a passion for exercise.
