4 Ways To Make Breakfast Easy

4 Ways To Make Breakfast Easy

What stops you from having a healthy breakfast? Most people can agree it’s TIME! We never seem to have enough minutes in the morning so let’s plan ahead to have these grab-and-go options ready just case you hit snooze one too many times!

Why even bother with breakfast? A healthy first meal is a great way to kick off your day. Food is delicious. It's fun to eat. What better way to start the day than with something enjoyable?! Getting out of bed is hard enough for most of us, so breakfast sets a positive tone and gives your body and brain fuel to start the day. Plus, when you make it healthy, you’ll be motivated to keep the healthy habits flowing well into the afternoon and evening.

Smoothies

Smoothies can be easily prepped ahead of time by throwing together most ingredients in a freezer bag. Toss in your favorite fruit and veggies, freeze overnight, and blend in the morning with a scoop of yogurt or a dash of milk. Grab a lid for your cup and hit the road!

Breakfast Sandwiches

Create the perfect breakfast sandwich by layering eggs, veggies, and bacon on an English muffin. If bacon isn't your favorite, swap it out for ham or sausage, or skip the meat all together. Once you have your perfect sandwich built, make a batch and wrap them tightly in plastic or tin foil. Toss in the freezer and once you’re ready to eat, microwave for one minute on each side.

Overnight Oats

In a glass jar, combine rolled oats, chia seeds, milk of your choice, yogurt, a few drops of vanilla or maple syrup, and a handful of fruit. Top with chopped nuts or coconut flakes. Play around with your favorite combination of fruit, sweetener, and toppings. Make sure your jar is sealed tightly and store in the fridge overnight.

Easy Breakfast Roll-Ups

Combine eggs, bacon, spinach, cheese, and other ingredients you love into a flour tortilla. You can throw in peppers, onions, sausage, etc. These are completely customize-able so play around with different combinations and get creative (Sriracha, anyone?) to keep it fun. Wrap tightly in plastic or tin foil to store in the freezer. Once you're ready to eat, microwave and enjoy.

Hitting the snooze button or spilling toothpaste on your shirt are inevitable! But that doesn't mean you have to skip breakfast or speed through the drive-thru on rushed mornings. Plan ahead and you'll have a healthy, delicious breakfast for the entire week! We recommend meal-prepping breakfast smoothies, burritos and sandwiches in large batches and freezing. Then, all you have to do is thaw, heat, and go.
