How To Celebrate the Holidays Safely

How To Celebrate the Holidays Safely

No matter how you plan to celebrate the holidays this season, HealthCheck360 wants you to prioritize your health and well-being. If you're choosing to have a socially-distanced meal with family or having a toned-down Friendsgiving, we have some tips for you below.

The holidays can be a stressful time of year. If you're enjoying a socially distance holiday season we have some tips for you here on how you can stay connected to your loved ones. But if you're planning on attending a get together with people who live outside of your home, read below for a few safety tips that can help you try to stay safe and healthy. Also remember to follow all local and state guidelines and gathering limitations for your area.

  • Host an outside gathering.  Obviously, this only works for those in the right climate, but if possible enjoy your meal and play outside.
  • BYOM: Bring your own meal. Bring your own meal and utensils to eat when you're with other people.  Bonus, you can prepare a healthy meal for yourself.  We recommend one of these recipes.
  • Wear a mask.  Unless you're eating and drinking, wear your mask around others. While it may feel silly at first, it will relieve any of your party-going stress. Or, encourage the host to hold an "ugly holiday mask" contest. It is 2020 afterall...
  • Get a flu shot.  Especially if you're traveling, getting a flu shot, washing your hands, and staying healthy can help you build your immunity.

No matter how you celebrate, make sure you're prioritizing your health and well-being this year.

Happy Holidays from HealthCheck360.  Stay well.
